why should the pkm do less damage than the rpk?
there should be a rpg class with a rpg and a sks only. also you should add 1 per team that carries an ak74. i dont think you would find any of those submachine guns on the battlefield.

... well since they are insurgents... just trying to be realistic the scorpion isnt very popular. and for those groups its way easier to get their hands on some akms or ak74 than submachine guns! if you want submachineguns the sterling or the sten would be more realistic uzi is ok too...

You'd be surprised what people can acquire on the black market these days, the Taliban manage to get their hands on Stingers, it's never clear where EXACTLY insurgents / Terrorists get their munitions from, there will always be someone on the down-low selling them weapons, the weapons in question, depend on the country. It would be quite obvious if we say, the Insurgents were all running around with MP5's, G36's, G3's, MP7's, UMP's and USP's along with some handy PSG-1's and other german equipment, would make one raise their eyebrows, right?

sum ideas
-add bullet drop if possible
-squad based spawn points
-interactive objectives
-muiltiple camo types if possible
-new game modes maybe sumthing like insurgency mode for Project reality.
-maybe add achievments to make gameplay more rewarding
i dont know how much of these are actually possible with the source angine as i only know mapping not coding but just sum idea i had.

i beg to inform that i thought we supplied them with the stingers to use agisnt soviets durring cold war but prove me wrong if u can, evryone always forgets the cia trained them on asymetrical warfare.......i do agreee that afghanistan does have a very wide open gun culture though but how new all these guns are is highly suspect.

Yes thats correct, They have an abundance of munitions, even 3rd party arms dealers probably have dealings, they are fighting for a cause they 100% believe in, i'm sure they would pay for whatever they can get. You wouldnt have to worry too much about being "unrealistic" with weapons, unless ofcourse you go overboard and start giving the insurgents OICW's or XM8's or something lol.

I personally would prefer if it would be possible to move while leaning. It really improves a game if it is possible imho =).
(I played INS and RnL for quite a lot, and they are similar in some ways. One different though is the ability to move while leaning.)

I know this will take time but, maybe adding other factions instead of my beloved Marines. Add maybe the U.S. Army and British Forces later on. They shouldn't be top priority but it would be nice to have in a later release.
Also, this isn't a single "idea" but can try and make INS:R more realistic than INS? I enjoyed INS but it felt too fast paced. Maybe slowing it down a bit would be nice.
1) No Unlimited Sprinting 2) Staminia Bar 3) Jumping Effects Staminia 4) More Weapon Sway 5) More suppression effect (It was pretty nice in INS but adding a bit more would be insane) 6) Less Linear Maps
I don't think more classes are neccessary. All you need is a Sergeant, Rifleman, Automatic Rifleman (Support Gunner), Grenadier, Engineer, and a Designated Marksman. All of these were in INS.

I agree with this. Although, the "engineer" class is a bit of a FPS game cliche. A friend of mine is in REME (the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Regiment). They are not the shotgunners at all. They are normal soldiers, he is a Minimi gunner (British version of the M249 SAW). All the men in his regiment are originally issued with the standard issue L85A2 (SA80). I think this class would require something that could be built, but should be removed to be sure to stay in keeping with reality. REME maintain vehicles such as the Challenger tank and Jackal fast support vehicles. They do what a mechanic does here, but with a bullet proof jacket and assault rifle. Also, in reply to the AK discussion. From what I know from my military contacts (Just to let you know, i'm five minutes from the base for 4th division of the Royal Army), the Taliban and other insurgent groups use anything they can get. They have seized weapons left by the soviets (such as the AK-47 and RPG-7), but one of the most common weapons is the AKM, the earlier version of the AK-47 (It was replaced by the 47 model in the late 70s). The reason is because it is cheap. Very cheap, and incredibly reliable. You may want to read this, also: atwar.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/09/15/whats-inside-a-taliban-gun-locker/But, the most used weapon by the taliban is the IED (Improvised Explosive Device). They are cheap and incredibly effective. A vast majority of ISAF and NATO forces (Brits, Americans, Germans, Frenchmen ect) who have been KIA were because of the IED. They require little materials, and nobody to pull a trigger (except the brave men who were lost because of them). IEDs could be a considerable weapon in Insurgency: Redeployment. Especially if vehicles are added. Also, welcome to BritIndieGames.

i know unlimited sprinting isnt realistic but i really dont want it to ve as annoying as in PR or BF2 where u get tired really fast and have to walk, if ur getting shot at i dont care how tired u r ur gonna run off pure adrenaline. so maybe a stamina bar whould be cool but its lame if u gotta mildindly walk to find sum cover, in fact thats the one thing i hate about PR except for the long respawn times.

Is sitting in my photoshop class and im online so ima think of more ideas for the mod
-maybe we can add using the rpg and m203 while prone
-add a better in game map system
-add claymores, mines, ieds
-add artillary or simulated artillary for big maps only
-add concussion effects, like bluring vision, hearing loss,
-add medic class
-make it so only certain shots kill ppl instantly so getting shot in the foot wont instantly kill you
-it would be gnarly if we could make the models have gibs so legs and arms can be blown off
-add realistic death sounds and screams, and wounded pain noises.
-add the knife back and make it useful but not redicioulous like the cod knife.
-possible add bayonett to the sks or other guns that have it.
-flash bangs might be cool but only the marines would have em and to be honest they always pissed me off in cs lol but for building clearing they are realistic
-possible add an assasination game mode where the marines squad has to infilitrate a specific compound and kill a specific target while the regular insurgents defend the compound, im thinking this mode would have no respawns like cs and would focus on team work and coordination to achieve the assasination of the target.
-it would be crazy hard to amke proabably but what if there was a way to make civilian npcs that the terrorists can hide amongst i relize it may be too hard to code all that into muiltiplyer but it would be interesting.
-add sum more afghan looking terrorists, the defualt ins ones look more like iraqis then afghanis, btw u can tell em apart cuz they where diffrent hats lol.
