Non-linear. I believe they said the maps are going to be much more open then how they were in Insurgency.

Very nice, if i may be so bold as to make a suggestion, very nice work but in my opinion, they all seem Angular, alot of middle-eastern architecture have curves, not putting down your work but I think if you added some curved architecture to some of them it will really enhance the way you've designed them. good work though, I like alot.

Yeah but to be honest in korengal most building are very square for most part
i could use displacements to make them look more angular but it takes longer and can be done later on once in the map. me and hypno havnt had alot of time lately cuz of school. but right now i still need to make small shacks lol.

Yeah all of the buildings are based from the korengal valley. Please watch the documentary Restrepo, this is where the inspiration came from. How bout some bump maps on the brick type textures?
